Therapy that Works Institute presents
Salzburg Dialogues:
The Future of Psychotherapy
"The field is rapidly evolving. Be in the room."
3-Day Main Conference | 2-Day Pre-Conference | Historic Palace Venue
The world has changed. The challenges our clients face have changed. Psychotherapy can be a guiding light in these uncertain times — but only if we are willing to do the hard work of evolving.
The Salzburg Dialogues is where the field comes to rise to that moment: to reckon honestly with where we are and build boldly toward where we need to go.
It does so inside Leopoldskron Palace — the historic Salzburg palace where The Sound of Music was filmed, and one of the most extraordinary settings in all of Europe.
Every session and every meal takes place within the palace itself. You arrive and you are already there — inside something beautiful, historic, and alive with possibility.
Through keynotes, live demonstration sessions, and intimate small-group discussions, you will engage with the ideas reshaping our field alongside colleagues from around the world.
And when the formal sessions end, the retreat continues. Stay overnight inside the palace or on the surrounding property and let Salzburg do what Salzburg does — remind you why this work matters.
3-Day Main Conference | April 1-3, 2027
Includes 18 Hours of Cutting-Edge CEs Covering 6 Topics
Dr. Diane Gehart is the conference host and keynote speaker.
Panelists and guest speakers will be announced in late 2026.

-
Mental Health Redefined in an Era of Uncertainty: Reimagining the purpose and goal of mental health treatment for the unprecedented challenges of the 21st century.
-
The Therapy that Works® Unifying Framework with Live Client Demonstration: Learn an elegant system for integrating 50+ clinical theories and the evidence base into one single system for doing effective therapy.
-
Depolarizing Conversations: Discover how to use the unifying framework to work across seemingly impossible differences in a divided world.

Trauma-Informed Practice: Integrate the latest evidence-informed interventions into everyday clinical work.
- Couples Therapy in a "Selfie" World: Explore options for working with your toughest couples, including those with trauma, personality disorders, and more.
- AI and Mental Health: Analyze the ethical and clinical challenges of this new frontier — liability, tool, or both?
Seating is limited by the palace itself — which means every person in that room chose to be there.
Expect the kind of professional connections that don't happen at a convention center.
