The National MFT Licensing Exam:
The No-Fluff Orientation Every Educator and Supervisor Needs
Is your program effectively preparing students to pass the National MFT Exam?
Most MFT training programs cover the clinical content — but there's a big difference between teaching great therapy and preparing students to pass a 180-question licensing exam based on traditional family therapy theories.
This free 1.5-hour CE event bridges that gap.
Dr. Diane Gehart cuts through the noise to give educators and supervisors a clear, practical orientation to the National MFT Licensing Exam — what's on it, how it's structured, and what your program can do right now to improve pass rates.
You'll walk away with:
- A map of the 16+ theories on the exam (the "MFT Family Tree") — finally, one place where it all makes sense
- Simple, implementable strategies to weave exam prep into your existing teaching and supervision
- An honest look at the research on age, race, and class disparities in pass rates — and what educators can actually do about it
Whether you're a program director, faculty member, or clinical supervisor, this orientation will enable you to prepare your training materials with confidence and clarity.
